CAIC Collaborative Works Festival II

  • Ganz Hall, Roosevelt University 430 S. Michigan Avenue, 7th floor Chicago, IL, 60605 (map)

The Festival’s second concert will feature a performance of Johannes Brahms’ rarely performed song cycle, Die schöne Magelone with baritone Tyler Duncan and pianist Erika Switzer. The cycle, rarely performed in North America, is Brahms’ only foray into the genre and is largely overshadowed by the more ubiquitously performed Schubert cycles.
